The Brown family spends Thanksgiving apart; Christine and Robyn put their differences aside to visit with Mykelti 's newborns; Robyn pushes Kody to reconcile with his kids, and Christine reveals she went on a promising first date.
UGH this is crazy that what we're seeing is 2 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry I haven't responded to this season. I had hip replacement surgery the day after the season premiere and I haven't felt like sitting at my computer until now.
I have been stumped by all three episodes so far. There is a mixture of things that were obviously filmed in 2022, but all the talking heads pieces are a lot more recent. You can tell the time stamp of filming by how people look. In the talking head interviews you see Mykelti after she when on her Ozempic weight loss, Meri's huge weight loss, and obvious age difference with the "chicken tenders" (Sol and Ari) with the scripted scene of Family Game Night, and this last week's Thanksgiving scene.
The fight with Kody and Robyn in this last episode was obviously scripted. I wonder how long it took them to memorize their lines? As I watched that scene I kept thinking of the famous line "okay Mr Demille, I am ready for my close-up."
The previous episode with the Family Game Night, I was laughing. Obviously none have them have ever played Jenga or UNO. Jenga is played on a table, not on the carpet. When they were playing UNO they were discarding cards on the draw pile, rather than in the discard pile. I figured that their UNO game lasted about 12 minutes, while they all discarded their cards one by one onto the draw pile. When my entire family all gets together we actually play with a double deck of UNO cards. Our UNO games can last as long as a Monopoly game or a Risk game session.
After watching all three episodes I finally had to send a message to Doug asking him if we are going to ever get to 2023, or even the most recent event this last Spring with Garrison's death. I had to smile when he told me "I only film this, I don't edit it."
My personal feeling is that this needs to be the final season.

I agree with you. They are well aware that this crap we're seeing is 2 years old and it's boring as hell because of all the information already out there. I don't think this season will even end with what happened with Garrison.
I read today that Robyn and Kody took their house off the market because Christine is suing for custody and child support for Truely.
I'm glad your surgery went well and hope your recovery is going well

I have to admit that having major surgery at age 71 is both terrifying and interesting. As I went through this surgery I thought about Cindy, who died when she was 71. Damn, I miss her.

So, they are just trying to short-change Truely's life, while his younger kids' lives are more enriched.

I am so glad that you are feeling better, Desert. My mom broke her hip during COVID, and she had surgery in her late 80s. It can be very daunting that's for sure.

I do feel bad for Truely. She sees the way Kody pays all the attention to Ariella and Solomon.
