... Excerpt from ‘Snow White’ First Look: Rachel Zegler and the Seven Dwarfs Join Forces in Disney’s Live-Action Movie:
Disney has unveiled a first look at the upcoming live-action remake of “Snow White.”
In a new image, Rachel Zegler is transformed into the iconic Disney Princess, surrounded by her Seven Dwarfs. As of today, the film, which was originally set to open on March 22, 2024, has been delayed to March 21, 2025.
Zegler stars as Snow White and Gal Gadot plays The Evil Queen. Ansu Kabia co-stars as the Huntsman and Andrew Burnap plays a new character named Jonathan. The Seven Dwarfs have been reimagined for the remake, and Zegler has said that this new iteration will not be as focused on the romantic subplot but instead will show Snow White become the leader her father encouraged her to be. The reimagined storyline and Zegler’s casting — she will be the first Latina to play Snow White — have generated some online criticism for veering from the source material.
The original film, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” was released in 1937 and was Disney’s first feature-length animated film. More than 85 years later, the cast and team behind the remake have promised an updated version of the classic fairy tale.

From what I have read, those PHOTOS HAVE BEEN DEBUNKED! Don't believe everything you read/see on the internet.

As mentioned in the post, these are photos of 'stand-in' extras. The Daily Mail made the mistake of not asking permission from Disney to publish these photos: they are not official photos from Disney. Furthermore they should have placed a caption under each photo stating that these were 'stand-in' extras, and not only say this in the article. Finally they should not have mentioned Rachel Zegler and other actors, without explicitly stating that they are not in the photos, but that these are all photos of'stand-in' extras.

Not much is known about the movie yet, but actress Rachel Zegler (Snow White) did say something last year at D23 Expo 2022.

I think Rachel Zegler was great in West Side Story, unlike her co-lead, f-ing Ansel Elgort. I mean he was so stiff in that and his singing inconsistent, it made me forget he was in Baby Driver. Rachel Zegler is a talent that needs to be put in the front more, and hopefully with competent people around her.

Due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, this movie - originally scheduled for March 22, 2024 - will be delayed until March 2025.

Hopefully delayed long enough to cancel it for tax reasons before this bombs badly at the box office

Why will this "bomb badly"?
(And, for bonus points, tell us if it's possible to bomb well).

Well, it seems to me that if a movie does really badly at the box office, it has 'bombed well'. 😁😉

New image below & it has been pushed back (although I have never understood the use of the term 'pushed back', when it actually means 'pushed forward'!) to March 2025.

Pushed forward in time; pushed back in terms of priority/urgency/imminence, like pushing to a "back burner" to simmer after bringing to a boil on the front burner.

Well, Snow White, for starters, and the choice was between two Latinos, which means it is a blatant race swap to attack fans of the source material and the Disney cartoon. So you already know that this is going to be used to call the fan's "racist" and we have already seen that movies made to do that have a history of failure.
And then the lead actress came out and went full divisive politics, both at the beloved cartoon and the fans. Once more essentially echoing the "it's not made for you" mentality that makes people not show up to watch it. I mean, I can attest to not going to movies that the creators say aren't made for me, and then laughing when the movie bombs and they blame the fans that didn't go to the movie that they told them not to watch.
So you already have blatant and low key attacks on fans in a movie that people look at and think "race swapped just to attack fans" And now you have a movie where the lead is already trashing the original, already going full divisive politics, and is now attacking her costar for being Jewish. And thought that is en vogue for certain political groups to go full antisemitic to show how tolerant they are.... but for normies and people on the other side, antisemitism is still pretty disgusting.
And at the end of the day 1) People are getting sick of politics and this is already political 2) People are getting sick of the divisive crap and this is politically and racially divisive 3) People are getting sick of movies and celebrities lecturing them about politics and at least the lead actress has been lecturing them from the start 4) Disney has burned it's bridges with fans doing 1-3 on repeat since around 2016
the bottom line is that people go to movies to be ENTERTAINED and Snow White was made to be political not entertaining. And it's gotten to the point where people feel more comfortable criticizing the blatant politics and attacks, and it has always been that fewer and fewer people go to see movies like this because they aren't entertaining.
its hitting the theaters with a ton of divisive political baggage at a time when people aren't watching movies that come with a ton of political baggage.
People go to movies to be entertained, and Disney made it clear that Snow White was about politic not entertainment. Ergo, it's going to bomb badly.

Your breakdown for why it could bomb might be right...but if it does not bomb, will you be around to break down why it didn't?
