... Excerpt from ‘Snow White’ First Look: Rachel Zegler and the Seven Dwarfs Join Forces in Disney’s Live-Action Movie:
Disney has unveiled a first look at the upcoming live-action remake of “Snow White.”
In a new image, Rachel Zegler is transformed into the iconic Disney Princess, surrounded by her Seven Dwarfs. As of today, the film, which was originally set to open on March 22, 2024, has been delayed to March 21, 2025.
Zegler stars as Snow White and Gal Gadot plays The Evil Queen. Ansu Kabia co-stars as the Huntsman and Andrew Burnap plays a new character named Jonathan. The Seven Dwarfs have been reimagined for the remake, and Zegler has said that this new iteration will not be as focused on the romantic subplot but instead will show Snow White become the leader her father encouraged her to be. The reimagined storyline and Zegler’s casting — she will be the first Latina to play Snow White — have generated some online criticism for veering from the source material.
The original film, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” was released in 1937 and was Disney’s first feature-length animated film. More than 85 years later, the cast and team behind the remake have promised an updated version of the classic fairy tale.

It's going to bomb, Disney knows it will bomb, per the leaks about Inside Out 2. they saw it was political, they corrected it and took the politics out, they saw profit. Deadpool as well.
It's not a matter of "if" it's a sure thing.
in order to NOT flop, it has to win back the people it already pushed away in the name of "THE MESSAGE."
And where you might think "No, people want to see movies that we tell them not to see AND they want to see movies that divide them down racial and religious lines and they want to see movies that attack them based on their race or religion" The fact is, that is a serious minority view.
Blade was a hit WITHOUT telling White people it wasn't made for them... that's the norm. NOT alienating audiences means people show up to watch your movie despite who you cast in it. White people went to see it and enjoyed it, because no one told them not to, no one told them it wasn't made for them. that's the norm.
Alienating audiences... like all the woke crap does, has the effect of the people they tell not to watch the film, shrugging, and not watching it. It's not difficult for normal intelligent people, when you tell vast portions of the population not to see the film, that it's not made for them, because the "inclusive" politicos who made it want to exclude them to be "inclusive" well, the result is they don't see it.
It's not if, it's logic.

Holy smokes I just realized that Barbie's own Greta Gerwig wrote the screenplay. She's Hollywood fire right now. Pair her with Marc Webb who directed the Spider-Man franchise to gold, and I'm going to place my bet on a hit. All that matters is the writer and director. This is something that the alt right echo chamber overlooks in their obsession to second guess 'politics'. Greta Gerwig has proven that she knows how to piss off the right wing snowflakes in the most profitable way; the louder they whine, the more free advertising and more people buying tickets, history would teach us 🤔

The star has been on a rampage insulting fans this month. It never ceases to amaze me how you people think:
"We can insult fans, we can tell people we don't agree with not to watch it.... and it will still be a hit."
And then when it DOES inevitably fail, like they always seem to fail... you get upset because the people they attacked and told not to see it didn't see it. At some point, you have to stop and realize that chasing off audiences, especially fans of the original IP, means you aren't selling them tickets.
I know your politics are super important to you, and you only want people that agree with you to see movies... that given how often movies and now games are flopping when you literally TELL PEOPLE NOT TO SEE IT... you'd figure you'd learn from your mistake by now.
But, you seem to be set on making the same mistake until the industry folds and you're left wondering why doing the same thing over and over again didn't work.

I truly don't understand a thing you're saying. FYI this is a movie forum where people talk about movies.

She sure is!
That's where the smart money should go!
She has indeed proven it.
It's annoying AF for someone to be crying about pissing off "audiences", betraying their presumption that the only audience that matters is the one they are crying to insulate and protect.
Meanwhile, growing numbers of others are enjoying a Hollywood that is no longer pandering only to that singularly narrow audience, but is telling stories that others can see themselves in and through.
Shoving a white male hero into every protagonist role was pissing off the rest of us, but that's supposed to be okay with the rest of us? That's "normal" and any departure therefrom must have a correction back to it? FOH with that BS!
History only teaches those who want to learn.

that's hysterical because it IS a movie forum, and people just want to see movies, and the reason why Snow White will fail, like all the others, is because the creators are pushing their politics like all the other movies that have flopped because of the politics injected into them.
The very politics you are defending... and lamenting that people like me don't want politics in the movie... is the reason why Snow White will fail. You just clearly have an issue with the fact that even Disney is walking back the politics in the wake of epic failures.

Barbie didn't "fail."
People who love Clint Eastwood and John Wayne movies seem to enjoy that those movies are/were dripping with THEIR politics. So, it's okay if others have movies to be enjoyed with other politics.
Yeah, and the politics YOU are defending are the kind that people like me don't want in movies.
The kind of politics others, myself included, are enjoying catapulted Barbie to historic, record-SMASHING numbers. You need to cope better.
Nah. It appears that you are the person with issues. We're here anticipating another Greta Gerwig movie, and you're doing your best to rain your issues on the parade - but, hey, all good, we've got umbrellas and galoshes, and the parade will continue!

One example... and now the argument is what, that not talking politics, not inserting politics, and not wanting to watch politics in everything is political?
No.
That only happened because you tried to insert politics into everything, it failed, and now are defending the insertion as a success despite the countless failure brought on by people saying, "I'm just going to stream crap from the past because all I want is entertainment not lectures."
So we'll see, the star of Snow White is on the rampage again, insulting half the population of the US over someone changing the Wicked poster to look like the Broadway poster. I know it might give you a little sandalwood in your Barbie Underoos... but most people, especially the people she's attacking, are tired of that crap. Especially over someone nonsense like a Broadway style poster.
