Discuss General Hospital

From GH Snark:

Sad to say that GH is now into its eighth month of all-time record low ratings. Ratings that are so bad, they hardly register. Other shows have been cancelled with bigger numbers. OLTL went off the air with a 2.1 rating.*

Ron Carlivati was fired after 15 weeks of record lows. Now we are at twice that and they still don't fire the writers or Frank Valentini? I honestly think they don't care anymore.

*Not shown in this graphic, but GH currently stands at 1.2. Not for nothing, Y&R and B&B have dropped too, but not as drastically. This is the all-important Women, 18-49 numbers.

I wonder if Valentini will hold on to his job, unless this is the last year for GH and ABC decides to let him finish with the show. If they are going to renew GH for another year, then I would think Valentini has to be replaced.

Back in 1987, CBS cancelled 'Capitol' which had a 5.2 rating. Today, that would be get a soap a multi-year renewal, easy!

'Search for Tomorrow' ended in December 1986 with a 2.5 rating and NBC actually renewed it into 1987, but Procter & Gamble thought the show was becoming too expensive to continue producing with "mediocre" ratings, so P&G actually pulled the plug on it.

Don't worry once they kill off Sam those ratings will TRIPLE!

The real q is why do we care when they don’t
